Sexual harassment in the workplace is a major issue facing management. As the courts continue to expand the definition of unlawful harassment, the number of harassment claims filed is expected to increase. You must therefore be prepared to confront the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace intelligently and directly.

Sexual harassment is difficult to prevent, often occurs in private, and frequently places management in the uneasy position of determining whether to believe the accuser or the accused. Management must be aware that mishandling of a sexual harassment complaint, or failing to take a complaint seriously, can lead to significant consequences, financial and otherwise.
