The clash between privacy interests and First Amendment rights has
proven to be fertile ground for the courts. This course examines the common
law privacy torts of intrusion, public disclosure of private facts, false
light and appropriation. This course begins with an introduction to the
different torts. It then provides participants an opportunity to learn more
through a series of fact patterns from real appellate cases.
