Immigration Law Basics For Non-Immigration Attorneys

The instructor for this course is Yvette Sebelist. Ms. Sebelist is an associate at King & Ballow, practicing in the area of immigration law and specializing in all aspects of employment-based visas and associated employment law issues.

Immigration law is, at its core, federal statutory and regulatory law shaped by administrative policies. Immigration procedures and policies change frequently and it is essential for attorneys practicing immigration law to be aware of the changes. It is also essential that attorneys not practicing immigration law be educated about the basics in order to recognize current and future immigration-related problems, as well as possible strategies for immigration benefits.

The following course is designed for the practitioner who does not specialize in immigration law but may encounter immigration issues with clients when dealing with other matters.
